@Jenny_Alto I found that the trajectory of presenting the phone to the terminal plays a part in this. Make sure you know where the NFC antenna is, then experiment with how close you hold it to the terminal, and how fast you approach it.
In my experience, it's an art, not a science.
@madebygoogle I'm not sure whether to feel impressed by the quick response or creeped out by the likelihood you're a bot, either way thanks for taking it into consideration. Now please go and implement it!
Whoever came up with @Google Home's "by the way" suggestions deserves to be locked up in an empty room with a Google Home device continuously suggesting features they already use everyday, and they can't turn it off
@surface You guessed right!
I'm lecturer so at work it's mostly used for teaching and admin tasks on the go but on my own time I do like using it for engineering-like hobby projects
@surface The screens, the open screen size, the folded screen size and aspect ratio, the build quality and compact design (this thing is thin!)
Let me think ๐ค .... did I mention the screens?

@GuildOfMakers A4: everything in Tony Stark's basement!
Seriously though, access to a 5D milling machine and sheet metal cutting and bending would be awesome.
@GuildOfMakers A3: It's a revolution of a sort, but I personally wouldn't call it "industrial". More of a knowledge or "cultural" revolution perhaps? And for the second part: I already do! The workshop is called @fzzpop (although,"access"??, eh, well, :'( 2020 kinda ruined that)
@msonenote Halfway through my PhD I switched my logbook to OneNote. I now recommend it to anyone embarking on a large project. I just describe how long it takes me to find topic-related entries from before and after the switch.
In just 2 hours, @DrLucyRogers will answer your young people's questions about engineering, creativity, and sharing on our Digital Making at Home live stream!

The Production Technician role @openbionics is always popular with applicants. This time weโre trying out a new recruitment process to remove some higher education biases. School leavers are encouraged to apply. https://t.co/0XpcY5pAKa @kwmcthefactory @Babbasahub
