If merely being hard on yourself worked, it would have worked by now and you’d be better off. Be truthful with yourself, but also forgiving. Treat yourself like someone you’re supposed to raise.
I’ve said this so many times that I almost sound like a broken record, but Destiny is honestly one of the most extraordinary humans that I’ve had the privilege of knowing and meeting in this lifetime. He holds a true sense of wonder in his eyes and carries a mind that is profoundly excellent.
If you do nothing else this weekend, please sit with this interview. Watch it slowly. Especially if the distance between where you were born and where you hope to be feels insurmountable.
The last part where he talked about imagination meant so much to me, as it took me back to my own small beginnings where all I had was a mind that had become much larger than my environment. It was the only thing I could call home and rely on to make sense of the world and my place in it.
Man, however it plays out, whatever it takes, fight tooth and nail to preserve your imagination, because while your place in the world is still forming, it’s the one thing you must never let the suffering pry from your hands.
I’m convinced Apple made the 'Find My' feature just for me. My phone’s always on DND, and I’ve used it so much it’s basically 'Find My Sanity'. At this point, It’s less a feature and more a lifestyle.
I am currently fundraising for:
Barakah - who is trying to raise money for the surgery to remove the implant surgically placed in her leg to correct her femur that was fractured when she had an accident in November 2021.
Samad - An end-stage kidney failure patient who was robbed and shot. He urgently needs to raise money to complete the cost of his kidney transplant surgery.
Opeyemi - A recent graduate who needs to raise money to settle the debt her family incurred from bad business. The debt is becoming an embarrassment for the family.
If I get the $1000, I’ll share it with these three individuals, and then I’ll buy a bottle of chilled water for @feso_tee, who insisted I must do this.

There’s so much we can’t control. That’s the main reason why we are anxious. Instead of worrying, learn to focus on the things that we can control. Then put our trust in the Almighty to take care of things. Feel the weight lifted from our shoulders.
May our lives reassure those who look up to us that their own efforts will not be in vain. May our present days serve us. May the future fall in place while we're young. And may history be kind to us in the end.
We are trying to raise funds for a friend who needs money for her school fee. She needs your help to raise a total of N195,000 before the payment deadline.
Please support her so she won't have to drop out 🙏.

"I was born to Pakistani parents but grew up in London. My journey with the Quran began early, thanks to my grandma. She was the one who taught me how to read the Quran. Sometimes our lessons would last for four hours until I got it right! In 2009, a significant chapter in my life came to a close when my dear grandmother passed away. Her absence left a void, and I turned to the Quran because I knew my reading would bring her reward. Sadly, as the years passed and life grew busier, my connection with the Quran began to slip away. I tried various methods to read it daily, even resorting to my trusty iPad. I read it daily for an entire year, but then stopped again.
I then tried a second tactic which failed miserably too. I got three translations of the Quran, one for work, one for my bag, and one for home, ensuring that it was always within arm's reach. Little did I realize that the Quran had always been on my phone. I experimented with many Quran apps but found none that truly matched my needs, especially as a self-proclaimed lazy person. I thought of creating my own app, but my motivation quickly died when a developer quoted a staggering $50,000 for the project.
Then, one evening, I stumbled upon a book detailing an experiment involving three groups of people striving to incorporate more exercise into their lives. The group that achieved the most success were those who wrote down when and how much exercise they would do. I decided to re-attempt to make this app, even if it meant burning through all my savings and borrowing money from family and friends. I just wanted to make something that would help me read the Quran every day.
Three years later, the app reached over 1 million downloads.
Thousands of users now read the Quran every single day without missing a day. I pray my grandma gets the reward of every single letter read from the app. I still have to pinch myself when I go on the app and see a thousand people reading live. I pray that this story can inspire anyone reading this to bring the Quran into their everyday life, as it did for me. I genuinely cannot remember the last time I missed a day of Quran, Alhamdulillah." - Esa Khan, Founder.
Retweet this so you can inspire others to start reading Quran.
P.S. For those asking in the comments, the app is called @QuranlyApp
Arrogance at its worst would have you believe that you're always right. You strut around like you know everything. Confidence is humble, quiet & doesn't shout. You’re full of beneficial knowledge & you share it in a manner that doesn’t make the other person feel ignorant.
Be at peace knowing that, things will fall in place for you! If you’re exhausted, take a break & reflect. If you’re stagnant, take your time to reassess your journey & move! If you’re winning, keep the energy up! Things will come together to work for our good. Good morning.
If you want something, plead passionately with the Almighty. He knows you're doing all you can. He knows it's not easy, given the constant distraction. But as long as you're trying, He is with you.
