In the summer of 2004, Portugal hosted the European Football Championship and reached the final at Estádio da Luz under the guidance of the legendary Brazilian coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, who had encouraged the nation to hang flags from their windows, a tradition that has endured ever since.
On the way to the final match, fans followed the team to Lisbon by HORSE, motorbike, car, paraglider, boat, and plane. Unfortunately, the ending was not a happy one that day it would only come… eight years later.
Even so, those images still break the nation’s heart. 🥺
