@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness but since god is all powerful can he not teach? why does he need an imam?
its not claiming to stand in his place, they all humbled and submitted themselves to God and God gave them this authority Himself (in which He is the one who forgives) theres no issue in that
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness who said we avoid it? i said we sees this as one powerful expression of prayer, thats not neglecting it
whats the point of your temporary body if your soul is the thing that lives on? its not an excuse, whats the point of doing it if you dont believe?
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness read in context and stop twisting words
i said what i said and Christianity stands on that point
if you cant read and comprehend that your problem
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness its a loophole when you are allowed to eat anything you desire right before and after daytime
plus its not all only about the physical
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness doesn't mean it's the only way?? how many times do i have to say this?? The Church sees this as one powerful expression of prayer but not the only one
the hearts attitude matters most. physical posture should reflect inner reverence, not to be treated as a requirement
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness "Till all is accomplished" refers to his death resurrection and fulfillment of the mosaic law and messianic prophecies
what Paul said doesnt contradict neither Jesus nor the New Covenant
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness exactly, they have the authority - given by Christ Himself, they arent replacing Christ, they are just a "channel", a human link in our relationship to God
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness It means Jesus fulfilled the law by completing its purpose, that means the ceremonial and sacrificial laws ended with Him and the Christians now live under the New Covenant guided by the Spirit
Paul also says circumcision is not needed for salvation (Galatians 5:6, 6:15)
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness yeah we also dojt have buffets and feasts like you do, we're usually limited to 1 meal or 2 small meals a day, some days of the fast you can only drink water
its difficult to fast consistenly and disciplined, you sacrifice more than just food and drink...
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness yeah cause He is God and has He right to forgive? He is no longer physically in the body on earth and He told his apostles they have the right to do so?
Its scripture - John 20:22-23
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness Jesus also prayed kneeling, looking up to heaven, lifting hands, standing - he didnt only prostrate as you say.
The importance is whether you're sincere, honest or not
Jesus came to fulfill a law and give us a new one
Ironic cause you're cherrypicking the prostrate verse
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness the fasts we have require way more disciplin.
we fast 2x40 days
2 weeks
once from 8-42 days
every wednesday and friday
its an all vegan diet
how often, and whether we can eat certain foods depends on the days of the fast
also spiritually - praying, abstinence from sin etc.
@BurakCo53951852@Crow31Darkness you can do both and not be wrong
Christ gave His apostles authority to forgive sins since they act as representatives of Christ and the Church
That means Christs forgiveness works through the priest, granted by the Holy Spirit through apostolic succession
