'Wage Bill Cripples Lagos Govt' on July 1, 1999. This is the Lagos Asiwaju inherited! Its cast in stone!
Where are the clowns quick to mention Former FCT? Where are the enviously bitter 'ignoramuses' throwing the name of Jakande around? Wasn't this same Lagos he governed? Awon Olote!
Truth is the only way!
@Euphoria_Sticks For the sake of your profession you hold highly, why are you discounting TOTALLY the positive economic impact such hosting rights gives?
Yes you spend (which brings jobs and development to btw) but you will also earn. No?
Should we be looking at the NET and not just. expense?
Fellow Nigerians
Today, we celebrate democracy and the enduring Nigerian spirit. For 27 unbroken years, since May 29, 1999, Nigerians have chosen their leaders through the ballot, witnessed peaceful transitions of power, and resolved disagreements in courtrooms and legislative chambers—not through violence. We have experienced the longest stretch of civilian rule in our history. Our democracy is not perfect, but it is ours, and we must continue to defend and strengthen it.
Every generation has a defining responsibility. The generation of our founding fathers secured independence—the generation of June 12 secured democracy. Our generation must secure prosperity.
Let us move forward together—rejecting division, cynicism, and despair; embracing unity, hope, and confidence. Let us build a Nigeria united by a common purpose, strengthened by diversity, where justice is accessible, liberty is secure, and opportunity is abundant.
It's a good start, but I have never hidden my concerns about allowing the police to draft their own reforms.
As you can see, they ended up vesting too much power in the National Police Council.🙆😆
I urge Mr. President, as a matter of urgency, to set up a committee comprising representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Police Affairs, and civil society groups to draft a better version that reflects a more civilian-oriented approach to policing.
@eltama007@mrmohh11@Choosin211@IU_Wakilii Very apt!
The sad truth is that ADC is simply a collection of aggrieved people only interested in their PERSONAL ambition and not a collective.
Sadly, I believe Mallam got it wrong with his move but time will tell.
@IU_Wakilii@ishakaa won't take this. A whole Atiku 'Kachalla' Abubakar is going to remove this nepotistic, kleptocratic, everything-tic Ali baba & the 40 thieves.
How can Ishaka labour since 2023 and still watch the man he hates eventually win? We won't have that 😭
Statement on My Appointment as New Media and Strategic Communications Director of the NDC.
Thanks be to the God of my Covenant, my help in ages past and my hope for years to come.
I wish to express my sincere and profound gratitude to my leader, boss, and father, the National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, for the confidence reposed in me to lead the digital communications efforts of our great party.
For many years, I have been an ardent supporter of Senator Dickson and the core values he espouses. What particularly endeared him to me is his principled and consistent advocacy for restructuring and the devolution of powers, two ideological positions I firmly believe can fundamentally transform Nigeria’s governance trajectory. Consequently, when he conceived the idea of founding a political party anchored on these ideals, it was a natural and straightforward decision for me to align with him and the NDC.
Those familiar with my public positions know that I have always maintained radical conviction, intellectual independence, and consistent commitment to my beliefs. I do not follow the crowd, nor do I retreat from what I consider right.
I began supporting the NDC from the very moment our National Leader conceived the vision of an ideologically driven political party. I was a foundational member who actively mobilised support and contributed to building the party from its inception, long before it gained national prominence through the influx of other leaders and their supporters.
It is therefore a misrepresentation to suggest that I opportunistically sought an appointment only after the party attained visibility. By the special grace of God, I am not in need of the party for personal financial gain or prominence. As a young man raising a beautiful family while pursuing a career in public service, I have been blessed with stability and fulfilment.
Like most Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, I believe our country deserves better and that our numerous challenges can be effectively addressed through purposeful, visionary leadership. It is on this conviction that I have offered myself for service, beginning at the foundational level of governance ( the political party) which serves as the platform for grooming and presenting leaders for public office.
Drawing from my years of experience in civil society and media, where I have managed communications for various brands, institutions, and personalities, I am committed to leveraging my expertise to position the NDC as a credible, viable alternative for Nigerians seeking genuine change.
I acknowledge the mixed reactions that greeted my appointment. However, I assure all genuine supporters of the NDC that I have the best interests of the party and its candidates at heart.
I will channel the same passion and energy that has sparked debate into promoting our candidates, combating misinformation, setting the national agenda, and advancing the ideals of the party and its National Leader.
At this critical juncture in our nation’s history, we share a common goal. We must therefore rise above trivial distractions and minor differences to remain focused on our collective vision for a better Nigeria.
Finally, I extend heartfelt appreciation to Nigerians for their overwhelming support, kind wishes and prayers. I never knew I was loved this much. To those who, despite our differences in affiliation, defended me fiercely and passionately, I will never forget your solidarity.
NDC is my party.
Sen. Seriake Dickson is my National Leader and with His Excellency Peter Obi and HE Rabiu Kwankwaso as our party’s presidential nominees, we are fully committed to ensuring their victory in 2027.
Information is power. We will deploy it strategically and tactfully to deliver our message to the electorate. This battle is not won through empty rhetoric but through deliberate strategy, discipline, and tact.
Are you an idiot? In which world does a minimum wage earner dream of owning a house while on a minimum wage? Where in the world is this possible?
You mean a messenger with a primary school certificate on his first job starts to dream of buying a house instead of going to school or learning new skills?
@Oparaukwu What's abnormal about it?
That a candidate wins the two highest voting blocks (NW & SW) and comes second in every other region and wins the election?
I'm lost. Hasn't that been a road map to the presidency before?
It’s a shame but I am sorry to tell you that LPG is priced globally and has been affected by the Israel - Iran war.
LPG prices have risen averagely by 53%.
In Asia, it rose from $55 per ton to $135 per ton
In USA, it rose from 8.6 cents per gallon to 44 cents per gallon
In India, it rose from 29 rupees to 89 rupees.
Unfortunately, Nigeria isn’t insulated from this global shock.

The dishonesty and hypocrisy in you all though...
We didn't see any of you harass PMB when EFCC arrested, detained, and arraigned former Governor Ramalan Yero for misappropriation of Kaduna State funds. Why? The anti corruption agency was doing its job, right?
Why is PBAT getting harass for ICPC doing its job over a petition that emanated from Kaduna State House of Assembly?
The Kaduna State High Court that has consistently denied El-Rufai bail is under the jurisdiction of Governor Uba Sani led KDSG. Why is Uba Sani not getting the knocks?
