God doesn’t say “come to me only when you have an abundance of time.” He just says, “come.” Don’t skip your Bible time on the busy days…even 2 minutes gives you something!
Out of curiosity, if you were talking to a stranger at a social event and they said, “tell me about yourself” - what’s the FIRST thing you would tell them?
I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again 🙃… volunteering in your local community is a great way to meet new friends!
Conversations flow easily, no awkward figuring out what to do with your hands, & everyone already has one thing in common - the desire and willingness to serve!
Just a quick reminder that your prayers aren’t rebounding off the ceiling. They are absorbed into His heart, carried in His strong hands, and considered in His mind with wisdom that far exceeds our own. ❤️
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ❤️
Speaking from experience…
If you want to encounter deep, true peace & hope, ask the Lord to make the things of this world strangely dim in your eyes. Ask Him to remove the fake glitter of what you long for. It’ll feel like death but it will truly set you free of so much weight
Struggling with angst & anxiety this morning and I felt this nudge from God, “I will not call you where I do not also equip you.” I don’t know who else needs to hear that today, but I’m sure it’s for someone beyond just me. ❤️
There's a verse that says: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.... and I'm realizing it never said what type of trouble, just "trouble" - big AND small trouble! 🥹❤️
Journaling about how overwhelmed I feel about my relationship with food + my never-ending to-do list. And from my fingers flowed “be my help in times of trouble.” And I suddenly realized this moment counts also as a time of trouble. ⬇️
In my head a “time of trouble” has always been some significant moment, death, job loss, breakups, etc. But our small times of troubles count too! How tender a reminder. 🥲
