🚨💥 JUST IN: @Videos2Riles (who broke the Rodri news) reveals more information:
“For me, my source kept telling me that there’s something strange about everyone saying Rodri wants Madrid. The truth is, Rodri never wanted Real Madrid” 👀
“He never saw himself fitting into the team, and he never really wanted to join the club — the player used Real to get a move to Barça, what he always wanted” ⛔️
“Real Madrid tried to sign him, they made him an offer, but he did NOT want to join. He wanted Barcelona. Rodri used Madrid, that's it” #Transfers 🔵🔴☎️
Nico: "I'm happy at #ManCity. I don't want to leave and I think the club wants me to stay. I haven't seen anything but I'm happy here.
"When I play I think I do a really good job. A good example was the FA Cup semi-final when I did a good match. Every chance I got, I tried my best. The final of the FA Cup I was out but we won so it was an amazing day for me. If we win, I'm happy.
"My dream is to win trophies. If I don't play any matches and we win the #UCL next year, I will be so happy..." [via @ShamoonHafez]
Though there is acknowledgement they have not been as active as they would have liked this summer, senior #ManCity sources say they are "relaxed" and have full "trust" in their transfer strategy.
It has been pointed out Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi were long-term targets and signed in January, deals that were brought forward from this summer. The squad is seen as "young" and "exciting", with Vitor Reis expected to be part of the first-team.

🚨🇪🇸 Enzo Maresca on having Rodri: “It's very important. Any manager in the world wants Rodri because he's a top player; so it's important for me, the club and for everyone”.
“But now, he needs his holiday - that's very important when we start to play every three days...”.
