Welcomed the United Nations Secretary-General @antonioguterres at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the start of a major historic diplomatic gathering in the Capital.

Secretary-General Guterres is among the high-profile arrivals for the inaugural Africa Forward Summit 2026, set to take place in Nairobi between May 11th and 12th. The event is co-hosted by H.E President William Ruto and French President H.E Emmanuel Macron.

The summit is expected to draw more than thirty African Heads of State and Government, alongside global leaders, for discussions centered on sustainable development, economic partnerships and continental innovation.

In a separate arrival ceremony, I also welcomed the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, who is in the country to participate in the two-day forum.

The Africa Forward Summit is positioned as a platform to strengthen Euro-African collaboration on climate action, technology transfer and youth empowerment. Observers note that the high turnout underscores Kenya's growing role as a hub for pan-African diplomacy.

The problem that has always come with being a high achiever especially in academics is everyone has high expectations from you,wheather you like it or not. And there are others waiting for you to fail so that they can feel satisfied because their parents compared them to you so now they want to prove their parents wrong.
