Happy birthday, Aliko. Few Nigerians have shaped our private sector with the vision, grit, and discipline you bring to everything you touch, from building Africa’s largest industrial enterprise to lifting millions through your generosity. Your story is proof of what is possible when ambition meets purpose. On this special day, I wish you good health, and many more years of impact. -AA
I wish to remind President Bola Tinubu to keep to his words that "this (Angwan Rukuba attack) will not repeat itself." It does appear that those words are hollow because barely 72 hours, another attack in Benue State claimed over a dozen lives. The Commander-in-Chief should brace up to the challenges of governance.
I am also concerned, like all well-meaning Nigerians about what is going on in a Nasarawa community where families had fled on foot amid threats of attack.
And as if those are not enough, there was a fresh attack in Kaduna State at the weekend.
The primary responsibility of government is the protection of lives and property and the promotion of the welfare of citizens.
Enough of these hollow rhetoric, Mr. President. It is time to fold your sleeves and get to work.
Meanwhile, my thoughts and prayers are with the families who may have lost a dear one in these attacks. -AA
Our adaptability is becoming a curse we suffer, then move on without addressing the cause. It’s time to hold those in power accountable for electricity, security, and basic amenities.

This evening, I received the former Governor of Kano State and the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), H.E Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on a courtesy visit. We had a robust discussion on the state of the nation. -AA
With total submission to the will of Allah, I join the family of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai along with the extended El-Rufai family and friends in mourning the loss of Hajiya Safiya Ali Rufai, a prominent member of the family who passed away on Sallah day. Hajiya Ali Rufai was the wife of the late Air Vice Marshal Ali Rufai, elder brother of Nasir El-Rufai.
Aunty Safiya, as she was better known, will be remembered as a compassionate matriarch of the family.
It is unfortunate that this loss coincides with the period during which the former Governor of Kaduna State and a key figure of the ADC is being politically detained by the Tinubu-led APC administration.
I pray that Almighty Allah grants comfort to the family and friends, forgives the matriarch her sins, and grants her Jannah Firdaus. Amin. -AA
Deeply saddened by the tragic attacks in Maiduguri. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. We must do better. As I begin my journey with the ADC, I’m committed to real change, peace, and security.
