@Kul_Mimansaka There are a few Deshastas who don't hv kuladevi tho. For ex lots of fams hv only Lakshmi Narasimha as kuladevata.

@TradDeshastha I think this also is only done in certain families, afaik not common to all whose kuladevata is Khandoba

@TradDeshastha @bombai_ka_babu Even in other parts of MH, Khandoba is a v popular kuladeva among Deshastas.
Interestingly I haven't come across any other form of Shiva who is a popular kuladeva among Deshastas

@maaniblr @Kul_Mimansaka @antasthaH @TradDeshastha As per one Marathi book I read sometime back on various V1 grps of MH, there are KYV Deshasthas. Tho seemed to be that many of them were in North KA. Will hv to check that again

Also there are SYV Kanvas found throughout the south states, not just mainland MH.

Even now, we practice and preserve all our rich traditions, rituals etc unlike a lot of urbanized Chits
