lemme explain some things from the texts~ (my phone was lagging when i tried to type more in this tweet last night so… thankfully my friends asked about it 😂)

firstly it’s about ‘walking on eggshells’, which is actually even if i don’t put this phrase, it’s still fine but i want to capture the word ‘눈치보도‘. in other words, san explained the situation as them being really in sync and they just get each other just by looking in each other’s eyes. they joke around, and san described what it’s like when he baits wooyoung into it and wooyoung got all excited so he keeps on teasing san (meanwhile, it was actually san’s plan since in the beginning 😆)

then he said “우영이가 고만할까...? 하면서 눈치 보면” to express that even when wooyoung got all excited, he’s still conscious, well-aware and care about san’s feelings and his surroundings. he’s reading the room. so there would be times when he looks at san like he’s wondering if he should stop (in case he crosses the line). and that’s when san would immediately deny and ask him to do more and more. bcs to him it’s satisfying and sweet, he likes it.

so basically i think other words we can use here are: looking like he’s conscious/careful, reading the room, etc

for “even that is in the palm of my hand”, is basically san saying even in the situation when wooyoung says things jokingly, even in that moment, it’s within san’s grasp, under his control. bcs he’s the one who baits, he enjoys wooyoung reacting and being happy, and even when wooyoung playfully bickers back, he already knew all of this is going to happen, he expected it so he’s the one who basically made it happen for his and wooyoung’s enjoyment.

he’s explaining that this is their dynamic 😂 they enjoy it, it makes them happy, how they understand each other so so well. and despite all that, they know each other’s heart, they care about each other a lot. they wouldn’t ever want to hurt each other basically. as san said, they can be like this only bcs they’re super close
