Eneo has brought in 15 new electrical transformers to Buea to address prolonged power outages, a direct response to the protests that erupted in parts of the city today. The company says installations will begin tomorrow, Christmas Day, and will continue through the 26th.

Residents took to the streets today in areas such as Muea, Mile 18, Mile 15, Bonduma, Mayor Street, and Malingo to protest months of blackouts that have hindered small businesses and disrupted daily life.

Thank you for being the Voice of the Voiceless.

Greetings to all Cameroonians, we voted for ISSA TCHIROMA because we wanted change and believe in him. Concerning the recent lockdown called by the spokesperson of the president-elect, I think it is a strategic move, and we have to respect it if truly we want change.
Judging by the letter published by Gambia, we noticed that they are international mediators involved in the post-election crisis in Cameroon. Now it is all left to us, the citizens, to prove to those mediators that we voted for change and we want change.

HOW CAN WE DO IT?

1) By respecting the leader we trusted from the beginning and voted for.
2) By showing to any international mediator that we do not want this illegitimate regime occupying our country leadership.
3) we must start by respecting the 3-day lockdown because it is from the lockdown that the international mediators will know that we are ready for change and nothing can stop us as a nation.

ADVANTAGES OF RESPECTING THE LOCKDOWN.

1 ) A clear message to the Gambian government, which is galvanising countries to mediate for us.
2) A clear message to the international community that we are tired of the illegitimate regime.
3) A sign of respect to our president-elect.
4) crumbling this illegitimate regime by not going out to give them taxes to use against us.

DISADVANTAGES OF NOT RESPECTING THE LOCKDOWN.

1) A sign of weakness
2) If we don't respect the Lock down, the illegitimate regime will simply use it against us in the sense that they will say we voted for them and we are respecting them.
3) if we don't follow instructions from the president elect, it shows we are not in support of him and the international mediators will definitely come to the conclusion that we voted for the regime in place.
I am just a concerned Cameroonian who wants change as well as you do. Please, let's show the world that we indeed voted for change.
Our reactions to this lockdown will send a clear signal to those involved in mediating the situation in our beloved country.

The Chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Sen. Jim Risch, has described the reelection of 92-year-old Paul Biya as a “sham.”

In a post on X on Tuesday, he stated that the regime of Paul Biya staged the election that was held on October 12.

“The corrupt Biya regime in Cameroon hunts its political opponents, enables Wagner’s illicit activities, and has created conditions for jihadist groups like Boko Haram and ISIS to thrive and fuel the Anglophone crisis,” Senator Jim Risch said. “The regime has staged a sham re-election and unlawfully detained American citizens, including those from Idaho.”

According to him, Cameroon is not a U.S. partner and poses economic and security risks to the American people.
“It’s time to reassess this relationship before the blowback gets worse,” he added.

He is the latest and third U.S. representative to condemn the Cameroonian government for post-election violence.

On Tuesday, Reuters reported that 48 civilians have been killed since the unrest started after the October 12 polls.

Paul Biya, now the world's oldest leader, has ruled for 42 years and will be sworn in on Thursday, November 6. With this new term, he will have been in power for 43 years. If he completes this term, which expires in 2032, he will have ruled for 50 years and will be 99 years old.

Armand Noutack II: “The real actors of electoral fraud are often the most deprived”

In a statement published on social media, Armand Noutack II bitterly denounces the role played by citizens from modest backgrounds in the electoral fraud practices observed during elections in Cameroon.

The analyst laments that, in his view, “you will never, or rarely, see a ‘normal’ man collecting ballots to stuff ballot boxes,” insisting that such acts are most often carried out by “second-class citizens, the poor and struggling masses.”

BREAKING: Joshua Osih Says Election Trend Results Are True and Must Be Respected by Constitutional Council

The SDF presidential candidate, Joshua Osih, has conceded defeat in the just-ended presidential election, acknowledging that data and polling station reports reviewed by his party show “no ambiguity about the trends that emerged from the October 12, 2025 presidential election.”

He stated, “Even though the results have not been favourable to my candidacy, the people have spoken, and the verdict of the ballot box is clear. We accept this outcome in full respect of the sovereign will of the Cameroonian people and of the Republic.”

Trends from various polling stations across the country indicate that Issa Tchiroma Bakary is leading incumbent President Paul Biya. Tchiroma himself has already claimed victory based on results compiled by his party.

Osih says he will only congratulate the winner after the Constitutional Council announces the final result.

He urged the institution to act with rigor, fairness, and independence in addressing complaints of alleged electoral fraud.

“Pending the conclusion of this process, and in the republican spirit that has always guided our actions, I hope the Constitutional Council will proclaim the final results faithfully, as expressed by the people and without bias. Once that is done, I will call the winner to congratulate him and wish him success in his mission,” he said.

“My greatest wish is that this victory be placed at the service of the ordinary Cameroonian: the men and women who simply aspire to live with dignity, to work, to prosper, and to once again believe in their country. Because beyond parties and candidates, it is Cameroon that must emerge victorious from this election.”
