Calling people moist because they don’t fit into your typical stereotype of a black girl/black boy is so problematic. Black people should be allowed to embrace their individuality without being stripped of their ‘blackness’ just cuz they don’t conform to your arbitrary standards

Sometimes I don’t want to speak to anyone. Not in person, not via the phone, not via instant messages, not via a thing. I just want to be left alone with my own thoughts. Not because I’m in a bad mood either. It’s because my body and mind craves silence and solitude sometimes.
I'm so grateful that we had each other! And you're right, its even more of a reason for us to make a change, the world of tech is so life changing & filled with oppurtunity.
And it's sad that so many girls will miss out on that due to intimidation from lack of representation.
It really is a lonely course. Thankful that we had each other. But I’m hopeful that this won’t be the case for future years. The lack of diversity is even more of a reason for us to keep going and breaking barriers!
Computer science can be such a lonely course. In my course there were only three black girls, luckily we got to stick together, but we noticed the divide.
