Squash merge and/or rebasing is great - until you need a commit from another branch. Why not just merge all the time and then you can track *actual* history and not break branches that took a merge from your branch. I like rebasing but if I know someone might merge I'm out.

@t3dotgg @crutchcorn Squash and merge prevents users from merging from other branches and is a pain when they're merged together after squashing. Rebasing suffers from the same thing.
