Correct. Artemisinin-based combinations are the first line agents for P. falciparum malaria

Formerly, it was Chloroquine but due to high cases of Chloroquine-Resistant Plasmodium falciparum (actually, almost all), hindi na sya ang first line.

Ung Quinine naman, reserve agent lang sya for P. falciparum malaria and never sya naging first line due to its associated toxicity (cinchonism)
