@vnjaemout It doesn’t matter that he didn’t know. It hurts to see someone wear a symbol of hate and he can’t take that back. Plus this is not the first time he’s done something racially insensitive towards blk ppl. It gets to a point.
You’re an idiot. I don’t even like his solo music and I was ten toes down ready to support his solo career after he left nct. He’s completely lost my respect and that has nothing to do with stupid ships or being a hater.
Apparently the people spreading negative narratives about mark was either they are bitter and disappointed that he left nct, they are upset over their ruined shipping agendas or they just straight-up hate him
@_tulipsformark You’re right. It’s the tshirt plus every other colorist and racially insensitive thing he’s done over the past 10 years. The shirt was the last straw for a lot of ppl but honestly the shirt alone is enough to not want to support him anymore. Please wake up.
@pruetzels Black people’s pain and trauma has nothing to do with ego. Racism in America literally kills people everyday. This is very personal. This is generational trauma we’re talking about here. If ppl can’t forgive him that should not bother you.
@markittys I was there when Taeil wore the shirt bro. I won’t say the fandom was on fire bc I’ll be honest no one ever really liked him even before he left the group but ppl were very angry and we were mass emailing SM about it. The tweets back then definitely had more than 6 likes.
I think my favorite thing about when kpop idols do something culturally insensitive is when their most ignorant stans are like “ummm..I just found out about this ‘confederate flag’ two seconds ago. So maybe they just didn’t know. Maybe they’re just a clueless idiot like me”
if your solo debut is at the UN and you deliberately say you want to make the world a better place, you simply cant wear a fucking genocidal symbol. ppl are downplaying what the confederate flag represents. mark needs to do much more than that little apology he didnt even write.
@dazaivampiro@kinggweasley I live in Georgia. We were taught what the confederate flag meant because of the civil war when the south succeeded. If you remember learning about that and Abraham Lincoln’s presidency the flag was there. I was 10 in the 5th grade.
Oh my god everyone on this app is brain dead. If you forgive him good for you but don’t be mad at ppl who are done forgiving and try to police their feelings. This is NOT his first offense and unfortunately it’s probably not his last.
