But the rainbow flag is also symbol of love, and that's OK.

As a practicing Catholic, a lesbian, and a graduate of @OttCatholicSB, I am so proud of their decision to #FlyTheFlag. And, at least from where I stand, nothing about it goes against the Gospel. (7/7)

(A thread) There's a been a lot of talk about the #OCSB decision to fly the rainbow flag at their schools this month. There are a lot of people upset about what the flag represents. So, as a lesbian and a Catholic, let me clear one thing up.... (1/7)

Except that the crest of the #OCSB school that I graduated from literally has a heart on it. So....🤷‍♀️

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are multiple symbols that mean the same thing. The Cross is a POWERFUL symbol of love, and nothing can take away from that. (6/7)
