This is the dumb trick the Dem Party has been using on their followers for years now.

When something they pretend to oppose "must pass" (like the NDAA), they ensure there are just enough Dem votes for it to pass, even if it's just by one vote.

Then they tell all other Dems: feel free to vote NO so our followers think we really oppose it, and we almost sunk it!

If these 6 hadn't voted YES, Jeffries would have easily had 6 other House Dems to vote YES.

Here are the 7 Republican NO votes to final passage of the NDAA.
Yesterday only Thomas Massie voted NO to the rule vote to move the NDAA to a final passage vote today.
I’m glad 7 voted NO to final passage but if they had voted no on the rule vote yesterday it wouldn’t have passed

@rickjeff78 they are careful w/ their escalation. I think they want to lull him into a very bad position (no SPR + inventories, strait under Iran control) where he won't be able to say no to anything

if they are too aggressive too soon it might escalate in ways that are suboptimal for them
