In 1959, Richard Nixon was accidentally 'kidnapped' by Walt Disney on a trip to Disneyland

Nixon was visiting the theme park when he decided to take a ride on the Monorail. Walt Disney himself was piloting the train, and he accidentally dispatched the train before the Secret Service could get on board. The agents ran after the train and attempted to jump on board, but the doors had already closed

Monorail pilot Bob Gurr was driving the train, and he was unaware that Nixon was on board. He was following the instructions that he had been given

When he saw the Secret Service agents running after the train, he thought they were just tourists trying to get on board

The Secret Service agents were eventually able to get on board the train, but they were not happy with Mr. Disney

Walt apologized, promising it wouldn't happen again

Then a 27y/o man was swimming from a boat, went underwater, and did not resurface. They're still searching for him.
