I am absolutely relieved to hear this news.

The five year old tiger involved in yesterday’s tragic incident at Yorkshire Wildlife Park is alive and will not be euthanised.

It would have been utterly disgusting to see this beautiful animal put down simply for doing what tigers naturally do.

The loss of a human life is absolutely tragic, and nothing will change that.

But that tragedy should never have resulted in an innocent tiger losing its life too.

This is absolutely the right decision, and I'm delighted common sense has prevailed.

I've seen many people saying the tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park should have been shot when the man entered its enclosure.

I couldn't disagree more.

From the footage I've seen, it looks extremely difficult to even get into that enclosure in the first place.

And from what I've heard, the staff did an incredible job reacting as quickly as they did, while showing restraint and avoiding killing an innocent tiger.

These are apex predators. They are extremely dangerous animals that will naturally attack humans when confronted in their territory.

Hopefully this magnificent animal isn't put down in the aftermath of this tragedy.

🚨BREAKING: MAN KILLED BY TIGER AT UK WILDLIFE PARK

A man has reportedly died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster, England, Saturday afternoon.

According to the initial reports, the tiger attacked the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family has been notified.

The tiger was unharmed and remains in its enclosure. The wildlife park has reportedly closed for the remainder of the weekend.

Authorities have not yet explained how or why the man entered the enclosure.
