Having to reckon with ideas you no longer believe, reconcile traumas from your family of origin. Then to look at your spouse & confess that some beliefs no longer fit you. THAT’S NOT EASY WORK. So I empathize with individuals, who won’t venture out and disrupt their ‘peace’.

when we tell kids “ are you a good boy? good girl don’t do, behave like a good child etc” we’re telling kids that their goodness, is dependent on them meeting our standards.

Scripture tells us otherwise. God looked over everything and said “ it was very good”.
