Love this.
NIL has presented tremendous opportunities for countless student-athletes.
Seeing my teammates with new money gave us interest in: real estate, investing, and how to protect and grow wealth together, while giving our everything to the sport we love that got us here.
NIL allowed me to:
1. Finish my MBA (Masters of Business Administration) debt free.
2. Get a job I otherwise wouldnโt have been able to without a masters right out of school.
3. Play 2 years of D1 Ball
4. Meet people who changed my life
5. Play at my dream school, Clemson
Nobody prepares athletes for life after sport. Here's what that gap actually costs you: (Thread)
1: The avg professional career is 3-5 years. Most athletes spend zero of those years building financial literacy, a personal brand, or a network outside their sport.
3: The athletes who beat this start early:
โ They understand how money works before they need it
โ They build a brand around who they are, not just what they do
โ They create relationships that outlast their playing days
College athletes have more power than ever with NIL.
The smartest ones:
Vetting deals before signing
Building an audience they own
Thinking about life after eligibility
Treating their name like an asset

Thank you UConn! ๐ I truly appreciate you being a home to me. All of the people, teammates and coaches that Iโve had the pleasure of coming across during my time here have made a lasting impact on my experience. Forever grateful to be a Husky for life. Graduate, two years left.
