I am seeking help regarding a serious workplace incident in Goa.
I work as a security guard at a hotel in Sangolda. On 11 August, a company vehicle was taken by an employee who told me he was going for a guest pickup. I had not been informed that he was off duty, and there was no duty roster/handover available to security showing his duty status.
The vehicle later returned damaged, and I immediately informed management.
During a management meeting later that morning, I was physically assaulted. My supervisor was present.
Afterward, my salary was deducted, and my personal belongings were taken from me, including my laptop and a bag containing my PAN card and bank ID card. I have still not received a clear explanation about why these belongings were taken or when they will be returned.
There may also be CCTV footage and an employee attendance register relevant to what happened.
I am asking for a fair and independent investigation, preservation of the CCTV/evidence, and the return of my personal documents and belongings that includes my personal laptop.
I am not asking anyone to take my side without investigating. I simply want the facts to be heard and handled fairly.
The most difficult part is that I am still working at the same hotel.
After everything happened, my supervisor told me not to run away or leave/go anywhere, saying that if I did, an FIR would be filed against me. I have continued coming to work because I am scared of what could happen if I leave.
I am asking the authorities to please look into this situation independently. I want the circumstances surrounding the assault, salary deduction, and seizure of my personal belongings and documents to be investigated.
I am not asking anyone to believe me blindly. I am asking for a fair investigation and for my side of the events to be heard.
