One time, my period came unexpectedly while I was on a long flight.
No pad. No tampon. Nothing.
I was sitting there trying to figure out how to get through the next few hours without making it obvious.
Then I noticed another woman walking down the aisle.
I quietly stopped her and whispered,
“Do you happen to have a pad?”
She smiled and immediately opened her bag.
“Of course.”
Then she gave me two.
I thanked her and went back to my seat.
Five minutes later, another woman leaned over.
“Do you need anything? I have wipes, painkillers and an extra pair of underwear.”
I almost cried.
Then a third woman came over.
“I heard you weren't feeling well. I have a small heat pack if you want it.”
At that point I started laughing.
Because apparently I had accidentally activated the female emergency response team.
None of these women knew me.
We didn't even know each other's names.
But the second one woman needed help, everyone understood the assignment.
And that’s the thing about women.
We can be complete strangers and still look at each other like:
“Girl, I’ve got you.”
My grandma asked me today: "If everyone in the world wrote down their problems and put them in a hat, would you risk grabbing one, or keep yours?" It changed how I see life...
I will never forget a husband that brought the wife with advanced breast cancer, it had spread everywhere….
Oga said he didn’t notice she was sick, claimed they had coitus 2 weeks ago and this man no see fungating breast mass on his wife’s chest….
As she was dying, he told her he forgives her for not telling him.
I was just there like this
Sticking to no contact really helps your self confidence. You realize there isn’t a single person you can’t live without. You had a life before they existed in it, and you’ll have one after they’re gone. Their importance was only informed by your attention.
Cancelled a date (in a timely manner ofc) because I just felt drained. Told that man I needed to be in my own energy tonight- He texted back “bet” 60min later a bouquet of flowers, some essentials I needed, and pho was at my door. I called after I got it to express gratitude because… DUH- and he said..
2baba live IG Annie and I have done things behind the scenes since the divorce. honestly, I haven’t been okay. Leaving her felt like leaving the world. I love her so much. We’ve forgiven each other and moved past it. I don’t care what people think. I messed up by divorcing her. I’m bringing her back as my wife. And when we gonna do, our marriage is gonna break the internet. I’ll do whatever it takes to make her happy
