Don’t get me wrong — I know they’re just doing their job for everyone’s safety. I just hope they can do it calmly, respectfully, and professionally, without showing that kind of attitude.
A while ago, at the paradahan in Asin, Baguio, I saw some LTO officers conducting inspections on parked jeepneys. One of the officers was talking to a driver about his jeepney’s tire maybe they noticed something wrong with it, I’m not sure.
It honestly made me sad and disappointed to witness that kind of situation. The officer didn’t have to act that way just because he holds a position or has authority. In my opinion, instead of bothering jeepney drivers who are simply working hard to provide for their families,
The driver was trying to explain his side, but the officer suddenly became irritated and started raising his voice. I saw the driver’s face and his reaction — he looked helpless, as if he couldn’t do anything to defend himself.
