Happy birthday to the @undertaker! Yes, you burned down the family home, encased my real father, Paul Bearer, in concrete, and set me on fire...a couple of times...but otherwise you're the best big brother anyone could ever hope for!
I have a thing for the “almost-theres” the ones who nearly made it, who saw the end of the rainbow but could never touch that pot of gold.
Pankaj Dheer was one. Most noted for playing Karna in Mahabharata, the B R Chopra one, and for roles in Chandrakanta and for the legendary opening episode of Zee Horror Show, India’s version of the Twilight Zone, his movie career, despite multiple attempts, remained stillborn.
Bit appearances in Badshah, Qaid Mein Hai Bulbul, Aashiq Awara and Mr. Bond never led to the launch pad he needed to get into the big league.
And so we remember him from old Sunday mornings in front of faded Teleramas, painted sun on forehead, playing another hero who never could get there, memories of times and people and places, no longer there, like the rays of light from a star that has long ceased to be.
Good night, Pankaj Dheer.
@BLRAirport 080 domestic lounge T1 Had a good relaxing time at the lounge waiting for my flight. the Atmosphere was good and the cleanliness was top notch. Good food too!
Only good solution is to divide britain into 2 countries
One is Christian majority secular britain and second is Islamic Britain for Muslim British people.
India-Pakistan seems a much simpler explainer than Iran-Israel but if one digs deeper into the Pakistani psyche, it will not be much different than what is written below.
Why does Iran want to wipe Israel off the map?
It’s not about territory, Al-Aqsa holds no sacred weight in Shia theology.
It’s not about protecting Palestinians, Iran sees Sunnis, including most Palestinians, as ideological enemies.
It’s not economic, countries that trade with Israel prosper, and Israel is not competing with Iran in the same market.
So what’s left?
Shia Eschatology: The Mahdi’s Return
In Shia theology, the followers of Imam al‑Mahdi are destined to wage a cataclysmic battle against tyranny before their messiah can ascend.
In this vision the West represents the ultimate oppressor, and Israel is its planted proxy, a wedge driven into the heart of the Middle East.
To protect its Zionist foothold, the West rules through corrupt Sunni regimes, puppets bought and paid for by the “Great Satan,” the United States.
Leading those regimes a dark messianic figure named al‑Sufyani, a Damascus-based tyrant reminiscent of the Antichrist.
Their entire political and military doctrine flows from their end-times theology, which is exactly why they seek to demolish Israel and overthrow the Sunni puppets to break Western influence, in order to trigger the final clash, where the Mahdi will arrive and lead the faithful to victory.
For Iran, burning Israel to the ground isn’t a war plan, it’s a divine directive. It’s the seismic first step in an apocalypse they believe will reshape the world.
