On April 9 I'll be giving a talk and a reading from my novel, πβπ πΊππππ π·ππ€π, at the legendary Watkins Books in London. (See the post below for details and to reserve your space.)
Latest episode of πππ π ππππ‘ πβπππ’πβ π»ππππ . After some general updates, the conversation focuses mostly upon "the evocation of the evil genius". https://t.co/7SxqP6JrgH
Donald Trump won't be suing the BBC. He has no case. The BBC has already been punished for its misdeed and institutionally weakened. Sometimes, items in the news are kept there only to serve a certain purpose.
I've an essay in the latest issue of πππππππππ π΅ππ’πππππ¦: πβπ π½ππ’ππππ ππ ππ π¦πβπππ π΄πππππ. It's a partially autobiographical exploration of Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast books, their fascinations and flaws. https://t.co/P39Lllgovl
@StufferSuitcase@thisisyourparty The working class has been shafted. (The Reform Party will do the same.) The middle class are realising they're next because, mostly, they're workers too. The name is intended to mobilise all workers against the rentier class exploiting them both.
@WonPeople@thisisyourparty Wealth tax, nationalisation, anti-corruption, and a properly-funded NHS and welfare system are our causes. Anything there you don't like? No more "culture wars" nonsense.
@agolaymonday@jeremycorbyn Check out these two guys for qualified and considered analysis of how to tax wealth not work. https://t.co/aL2OD6VYdz https://t.co/04p5YiO2GH
@agolaymonday@jeremycorbyn The policies you mentioned are what we've had for the past forty years. So, why are we not all rolling in wealth from all that tax we didn't pay? As the gap between the rich and poor widens, the argument that we just need to keep doing it harder becomes less credible.
