I have a question for @KyDeptofEd and @WayneDLewis - In regards to your deleted tweet, why do we use a 6 or so hour snapshot to judge a student? In 4th grade my student was on the honor roll, yet her scores were novice, down from the year before.

The level of engagement and feelings of commitment to their school for not only the dancing students, but those around them, is something that cannot be taught. This is pure and natural and not something that comes from hours of teacher observations.
