If you’ve ever felt the fear of changing careers, just know that it’s normal. But don’t let fear hold you back from discovering what truly makes you come alive.
One of the hardest things I’ve had to face was the fear of switching careers.
I had so many questions running through my mind:
•What if I fail?
•What if I don’t have time to learn something new?
•What if all the years I’ve invested as a social media manager go to waste?
It gives me that sense of purpose I didn’t feel in social media management.
Switching wasn’t easy, but I’m glad I listened to that inner nudge for “something more.” Sometimes, comfort can be the biggest trap and growth only happens when we dare to step into the unknown.
I used to think I was “just trying things,” but all along, writing was choosing me.
And now I can boldly say: I am a writer.
What’s one gift or talent you discovered about yourself along the way?
Share with me in the comments, I’d love to hear your story.
Funny thing is… I never really set out to be a writer. ✍🏽
Looking back, I see how every stage from radio scripts, NGO speeches, social media content, church scripts, to poetry and now screenwriting was quietly preparing me.
