Why has #Syria ‘s currency (SYP) value risen by over 40% since the fall of Assad?

Is it due to increased optimism and confidence in the new government? Is it due to expectations of foreign currency inflows into the country?

The answer lies in banking and liquidity concerns that have frozen bank accounts denominated in the local currency

Traditionally, banking concerns weaken the local currency (#Lebanon is an example). In the case of Syria, the opposite has happened. The local currency has gone up in value. Why ? What is going on?

Hezb can be weekend but it surviving is inevitable. Only risk is internal strife but so far most leaders have been acting right ironically due to the fact they were active during the civil war and understand the risks. Cooler heads prevail for now.
