See, I have lived among people that will disagree to agree, they have a way of talking things out and over the years they don't need to drag issues again to make a decision. Growing together makes both partners think alike. You just discover certain things no longer bring arguments or big talk, you guys just flow. That lady that refused to share money because she felt she had arrived should have taken her time to settle things with her husband. It takes lots of trust, pain and hardwork to sponsor another adult to a new country, the least you can do (if no DV) is to always communicate your thoughts and make him come around. If she has stayed in that marriage, by the time they are 15yrs in, she would have looked back and seen that leaving was not the best.
