The attack on Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline happened in September 2026. Saudi Arabia immediately blamed Iraq. Iraq was pressured. Baghdad was told to investigate. Iraq's government complied. Iraq's airports were closed to Iranian flights. Iraq was forced to choose between Washington and Tehran.

Now Pezeshkian says: Iran and Yemen had nothing to do with it. And Israel likely carried out the attack to inflame tensions and fuel disputes.

He said it. On the record. In New York. To foreign media.

Why Israel Is the Likely Perpetrator

Motive. Israel's strategic objective in the region is to prevent any reconciliation between Iran and Saudi Arabia. The China-brokered restoration of diplomatic relations in March 2023 was a defeat for Israel. It shattered the narrative that Iran is isolated and that Saudi Arabia is permanently in the anti-Iran camp. Since then, Israel has been looking for ways to reverse that rapprochement.

Timing. The pipeline attack happened as Saudi Arabia was signaling openness to further de-escalation with Iran. The Houthis were hitting Saudi oil facilities. Iran and Saudi Arabia were exchanging messages. The pipeline attack was designed to poison that atmosphere — to make the Saudis believe that Iran and its allies were behind the attacks, and to push Riyadh back into Washington's arms.

Method. The drone used in the attack was described as "from Iraq." But Iraq's government said it had no evidence. Iraq's resistance factions denied involvement. Iran denied involvement. Yemen denied involvement. The only actor with both the capability and the motive to stage a false flag from Iraqi territory is Israel. Mossad has operated in Iraqi Kurdistan for decades. It has the networks, the logistics, and the precedent.

Pattern. Israel has a long history of false flag operations. The Lavon Affair in Egypt in 1954. The USS Liberty attack in 1967. The 9/11 "dancing Israelis" who filmed the towers and were later identified as Mossad operatives. The assassination of Iranian scientists using MEK proxies. The use of fake passports and front companies. The Stuxnet virus. The pager attacks in Lebanon in 2024.

This is not speculation. This is Israel's modus operandi.

What the Pipeline Attack Achieved

The attack shut down the East-West pipeline Saudi Arabia's only alternative to the Strait of Hormuz. It forced Saudi oil exports to rely even more heavily on the Strait, which Iran controls. It destabilized global oil markets. It pushed prices higher.

But more importantly, it achieved a political objective. It forced Iraq to choose sides. It forced Baghdad to close its airports to Iranian flights. It forced Iraq to participate in the US blockade. It turned Iraq from a neutral party into a participant in the siege on Iran.

That is what Israel wanted. Not just the pipeline. Not just the oil. The fracturing of the region. The separation of Iraq from Iran. The revival of the US-led coalition against Iran.

This is the Truth

Pezeshkian is right. Iran did not attack the pipeline. Yemen did not attack the pipeline. The evidence points to Israel. The motive points to Israel. The timing points to Israel. The pattern points to Israel.

The pipeline attack was a false flag. It was designed to frame Iran and Yemen. It was designed to inflame tensions. It was designed to force Iraq into the blockade. It was designed to reverse the Saudi-Iran rapprochement.

Israel succeeded in the short term. The pipeline is down. Iraq is enforcing the blockade. Saudi Arabia is back in Washington's orbit.

But the truth is coming out. Pezeshkian is speaking. The record is being corrected. And Israel's fingerprints are on the bomb.
