@mrdanmiller @ScottCywinski Good point, but I think for your examples it was the other way round: first the protocol emerged then the platforms build on top of it.

Here it’s different. They would need to change their whole platform to adopt the protocol which is likely to be really expensive.

But wouldn't it be the same if it's integrated into online shopping? You would also need to generate a model of yourself or am I wrong? Of course, you would not need to upload the clothes since they are already present in the shop.
