The objective is not simply to replicate what already exists.
We’re exploring an AI-native accelerator architecture designed around the workloads we believe will define the next era of computing — LLM inference, autonomous and multi-agent AI, high-speed memory, intelligent workload scheduling, secure execution, energy efficiency and sovereign AI infrastructure.
The programme starts in software: architecture modelling, simulation, benchmarking, compiler/runtime development and automated architecture optimisation. From there, the strongest designs can progress into RTL, FPGA prototypes and ultimately physical silicon.
In other words:
Software → AI architecture → compiler/runtime → hardware → silicon.
For SYNAPZ, that connection matters.
We are already building across software, AI and infrastructure. The next evolution is to begin working deeper into the compute stack itself — exploring how future AI hardware can be designed specifically around the requirements of increasingly capable, autonomous and distributed AI systems.
That means thinking about far more than raw compute: performance per watt, memory efficiency, security, resilience, multi-agent execution, workload isolation, sovereign infrastructure and the economics of AI inference at scale.
