I don’t think many realize how much a simple invitation to somewhere or being included in plans can mean to someone being left out is up there with one of the worst feelings
Nikki Grahame's anorexia and DMX's addiction both raise the same questions: why does our society treat addiction and eating disorders as if they're choices? Why are they stigmatised to the point where sufferers feel ashamed? And why is getting free help so difficult?
The passing of Nikki Grahame after her battle with anorexia is heartbreaking. Eating disorders are so misunderstood because we, as a society, have become obsessed with diet culture, editing pictures, and striving for what the media tells us is perfection.
