I was filming a homecoming story at Papa Del's and guess who walked in to do a pizza review.
@stoolpresidente on tomorrow's Big Noon Kickoff:
"It's a test of the student body whether they can be up early and ready to go..."
More of what Portnoy said tonight at 6 on @WCIA3.
As the crowd chants his name, Pete Crow-Armstrong delivers a walk-off base hit.

(🔈@thescorechicago )
When Moises Ballesteros first joined the Cubs, Nico Hoerner and teammates asked Ballesteros how he learned to hit.
"My dad," Ballesteros told them.
"Did he play baseball?" someone asked.
"No," Ballesteros responded.
"That's awesome," Hoerner says.

For more of what he says about the current Illinois squad, tune in tonight at 6 on @WCIA3
BALKAN JAKE:
"Kind of Balkan, just American... something Balkan in him."
"40% Balkan"
"Gotta be a little bit crazy."

My story:

Tomislav Ivisic: "He's like 40% Balkan now. We're looking for his wife, a Croatian one."
Says he needs to work on the language, but the Balkans plan to bring Jake to their home countries this summer.
Think this one means something to these guys?
Look at Kylan Boswell's face. The Champaign kid is going to the Final Four with his hometown team.
Sports are so cool.
