@JScottUoB@rc_pharm@ChemistDruggist I’ve made so many staff members and students aware of the teachings and guidance of the NSP programme; especially about about making sure we aren’t limiting supplies etc, all thanks to your inspiration when I was at uni Jenny!
Please consider the time it takes for pharmacies to process, order and assemble your medicines too. If it takes 2-3 days for a GP, that's the minimum additional days needed on average for pharmacy teams.
Interesting reading @TheGPhC annual report. Their employees, amongst other things, are able to enrol on the NHS pension scheme. How so? Community pharmacy teams, despite actually helping over 1m people with healthcare needs each and every day, do not get access to this @SKinnock
Nystan is being discontinued, with the only generic alternative costing nearly 5 times the price. Why is the NHS being forced to pay over the top for medicines? #Debranding

Not that I would ever complain about being given gifts from patients and customers but as someone who can’t eat chocolate much anymore this was much more enjoyable
@GrahamStretch I think so. No ETPs and can’t even get receptionists to patch me through to doctors to check the dose on the handwritten Rx because they can’t get the numbers
sit on the phone: number 8 in the queue or email and never get it replied to and when you finally get hold of the GP pharmacist it’s oh we don’t look at our emails. How am I meant to contact you? GP practice to community pharmacy communication needs to improve
Also spent all week chasing a rx for a change in a bluster pack (initiated by GP not change from hospital/DMS) and then having the patient call us asking when we’re sending the extra meds. ,,, I can’t get hold of the drs to get a new rx
If you contacted a prescriber after a 3+ day miss on an FP10MDA and they said it was fine to carry on dispensing would you ask for email confirmation for a paper trail? Did that today and the Dr acted like I’d asked for their firstborn
Thank you to all the pharmacists across our services using their knowledge & expertise to support healthcare professionals & patients across the healthcare system.
