When I was a #JehovahsWitnesses member, I avoided at all costs admitting that I shunned anyone. Because I knew in my heart it was inhumane. I was forced to shun my beloved mom and was deeply ashamed. #EXJW https://t.co/sZIL1TVXyE
5/ 💰 In 2018, Goldman Sachs asked internally whether curing patients was a "sustainable business model."
The mammography pipeline answers that question:
Screen → Finding → Biopsy → DCIS → Surgery → Radiation → Pharma → Imaging
A woman overtreated for DCIS is not a failure of the system.
She is the system working as designed. And until she is properly informed about the risks and dangers of treatment, her basic medical rights have been denied. @standforhealth1
4/ 🧬 The BRCA radiation irony almost no one discusses:
BRCA1/2 are DNA repair genes — specifically for radiation-induced damage.
BRCA-positive women have impaired capacity to repair exactly the damage mammography delivers.
The most aggressively screened women are the most biologically vulnerable to the screening itself.
📋 The Cochrane Collaboration — gold standard of evidence synthesis — found:
For every 1 woman whose death is avoided by mammography...
10 are unnecessarily diagnosed and treated.
200 experience lasting psychological trauma from false positives.
This ratio has been known for years. The machine kept running.

@sayerjigmi I have had only one mamograph exam in my life. One was enough to let me know nothing good could come of that horrid exam. I figure it does more damage than good.
1/ 🔬 When the USPSTF grades mammography, it grades a detection procedure.
It does not grade:
— Reducing inflammation
— Carcinogen/exposome factors
— Immunological status
— Altering microRNA expression
— Changing the epigenetic terrain
Detection ≠ Prevention.
This is the foundational category error of modern oncology.
🧵 Doctors are furious that RFK Jr. touched mammography.
But the Cochrane Collaboration — medicine's gold standard — found that for every woman mammography saves, 10 are unnecessarily treated.
The outrage is real. It's just aimed in exactly the wrong direction. 👇
@iluminatibot It is definitely a curse, being aware while everyone else is blindly following the "official narratives," but I'd much rather be cursed with being aware than go back to the way I was before.
