Reflecting on how important it is for young people with learning disabilities not to be inappropriately placed in hospital but thankful for our inpatient service that offers short term assessment for those young people in mental health crisis who need it
Community provisions should always be the first option for C&YP with LD. For some and their families hospital admission is the only option left to explore, it saddens me to think that nationally these YP will potentially lose this inpatient service. Please read.
