They’ve given millions to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, $10 million to Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Boston, $10 million to Brandeis, ~$15 million to the Kraft Center for Jewish Student Life at Columbia, $24 million to Harvard Business School, $50 million for an endowed chair at Mass General, major support to Dana-Farber, ~$20 million to the Kraft Center for Community Health, $1 million to UNCF, and support to the National Museum of African American History & Culture.

They co-founded REFORM Alliance and have supported Carnegie Hall, the MFA Boston, Prostate Cancer Foundation, The Boston Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, and countless community organizations.

And that’s STILL not the whole list.

Now let’s talk about Ed Sheeran.

His philanthropy operates on a smaller scale and is more concentrated.

He founded the Ed Sheeran Suffolk Music Foundation for under-18 musicians in Suffolk and the Ed Sheeran Foundation for music education, instruments, and industry access across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

He has been an ambassador for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices since 2014, with repeated donations that have raised tens of thousands of pounds.

He has supported his old school, Thomas Mills High School, local Suffolk hospitals and hospice causes, and donated £10,000 to Myton Hospices.

Then, after the Macklemore tour controversy, Sheeran asked Kraft to match a $2 MILLION donation to aid the humanitarian crisis.

Kraft said YES.

$2 MILLION EACH. $4 MILLION TOTAL.

Macklemore separately pledged his $1 million tour earnings to several organizations supporting Palestinians.

So BRAVE. 🙄

Before you spit on Robert Kraft or Ed Sheeran, maybe take five seconds to look at what they’ve actually done.

You don’t have to agree with every position they take.

But acting like these men haven’t spent years putting millions upon millions of dollars into helping other people is absolutely ridiculous.
