if you’re a creative, you need to teach your nervous system how to create without threat. you will not create any meaningful art if your brain thinks everything is high stakes at all times. take some time every few days to work on an idea for 20 to 50mins without any interruptions. the rules are: you cannot restart, you cannot perfect, and you cannot evaluate. your potential cannot be milked out of pressure, it can only flow from expression, repetition, consistency…

that is why drafts are your best friends. not everything needs to be seen!
