Dr. Ayşegül Akdemir is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Bahçeşehir University. Her research focuses on social identity, gender, and emotional labor.
This was the first study in Turkey to examine self-compassion in relation to LGBTIQA+ minority stress, offering unique insights into proximal and distal stressors.
