@southiescum Jay noticed that step and felt his heart thump in response...oh, how he missed Maxi. He closed the distance without a second more of thought, his hand lifting to brush fingers over Maxi's cheek.

There's a momentary glimmer of hope in his eyes as he looks at Maxi. “ have you been alright? ”

He knew he had disappeared out of the blue, without a trace, through really no significant fault of his own....but he hoped that Maxi had been okay.
