Every time I log on to twitter I’m reminded just how bad it’s become. My timeline is filled with content from people I don’t follow. Crazy VC’s pumping up the new FoTM thing like they did with Crypto, crazy conspiracy theorists with blue checks. If this is twitter 2.0 it’s trash
@mattrickard You make a great point. Any company can (and all to commonly, do) fall into this. I think the key is really to recognize when your internal investment is being outpaced our at parity with OS versions — not an easy thing to do

@fjakobs You’re making good points but I don’t think it’s completely this binary. Most companies have at least two archetypes for Sr. Engineer: technical domain expert and x-functional builder. You can be a domain expert and never play any type of politics or have deep org understanding.
I’ve gotten a ton of people reaching out for roles at Nike and contraction to Tweeps to folks in my network. I’ve been sending resumes and LinkedIn profiles to hiring managers. My responses may be slow because of the volume, but keep ‘em coming!
When you share a tweet, the URL copied contains a parameter ?t=XYZ. This is the encoded user ID of the person who shared this tweet (aka your user ID). Twitter can track this way who views the link that you shared elsewhere.
To maintain privacy, manually delete this parameter.
At this point, I log into twitter juuuust to see how Elon is burning it down today. Who knew he could make his own company AND several others loose billions of dollars in a day so effortlessly. He truly is a genius.

My wife and soulmate, Tia Caldwell, passed away suddenly Saturday the 15th of October. She was only 39 years old yet lived a full, beautiful, and accomplished life overflowing with love. Services will be held this weekend in Sacramento, rsvps will go out today.
