@chflorelius itโs good to be moral, but i think we should be moral only for our sake. for instance, itโd be futile to argue against a reactionary who thinks expropriating private property is immoral. to me, being moral is whatever that brings us one step closer to true emancipation
@king_d8_@BigMan_PigMan1@Mantispie thatโs my point. math must necessarily be explained by math itself and logic. your opposition or acceptance of something, however, can be explained without morality, since morality is not an objective rule like math and physics, so itโs never an automatic answer like 1+1=2
@BigMan_PigMan1@Mantispie except that math is a priori knowledge. itโs necessarily and universally true that 2 + 2 = 4. we can get an answer through reason alone. morality on the other hand is a product of social and historical development. its not a thing that exists in the universe outside of humans
@Mantispie itโs pretty doable actually. itโs enough to say โi dont wanna live in a world where people can just murder childrenโ. you donโt have to appeal to a universal morality that exists above us (which doesnt exist). valuing things from your own interest is sufficient
@purplewaves7 idk if that many of them turn socialist specifically. i feel like iโve seen more liberal or vaguely progressive queer people on average
@woop54 if anything, my one critique of the film is that itโs pretty much just an extended, more cinematic version of the found footage episodes. modify the film a bit and you pretty much couldโve just watched it as part of the youtube series
