According to what local newspapers reported, the two young men have NOT been charged with attempted murder, but only with aggravated assault, rioting, and the illegal carrying of weapons (3 knives found in their car).

It appears that after harassing a girl during a local festival, they tried to run over some of those present with their car, and then launched a physical attack, assaulting the girl's father and a bystander with a hatchet.
