@Needmorepudds@Gabagong@SavioVega99@Bunneechan It doesn’t require her to be attractive, evidently.
Also, pretty sure any rational human can agree on the difference of general attractiveness. Even disregarding general physical preferences.
@Needmorepudds@Gabagong@SavioVega99@Bunneechan Actually, I made an argument against your statement.
I can understand making her unattractive if it suits some sort of storyline, some sort of narrative.
Otherwise, why not make them look good?
@Needmorepudds@Gabagong@SavioVega99@Bunneechan She doesn’t “have” to be anything except for what the narrative requires.
So exactly like my original question, would you rather play an attractive character or a not attractive character?
@Needmorepudds@Gabagong@SavioVega99@Bunneechan What part of the writing, story, or worldbuilding require her to be unattractive?
Does it change the narrative? Is her appearance a major component of the story? Nope.
@Nothsonv1@Bunneechan Definitely true though. Western devs have really dropped the ball on this issue but I’d imagine it’s due more to social issues and not ability.
Eastern devs still know how to find a balance at least.
@Needmorepudds@Gabagong@SavioVega99@Bunneechan I don’t want them to be fuckable. I’d just prefer if they looked good? Pretty sure the genre is considered “fantasy”. It’s a fantasy to be a badass fighter like the character, it’s a fantasy to be in a situation like the character, it’s a fantasy to be hot like the character.
@Needmorepudds@Gabagong@SavioVega99@Bunneechan You literally didn’t answer the pretty simple question.
It’s not a matter of me “wanting to fuck” the character, it’s a basic matter of “would you rather play an attractive character or an unattractive character?”
@Needmorepudds@Gabagong@SavioVega99@Bunneechan If you had to choose between an unattractive woman and an attractive one, which would you choose?
And if your reply involves “the unattractive one is a better character in terms of writing”, what reason is there for her not to be good looking?
@CipherOfLight@Son_of_Sparda2@ChristinaTasty Atreus definitely has SOME language influence from Kratos but just like you said, he was taught to read and speak by his mother. It’s only natural her speech makes more sense to him.
@briefmuse@ChristinaTasty I believe it was to subvert the audiences expectations. Before that, all we ever heard about Odin was how scary and intelligent he was.
So for his first meeting to be so casual and surprisingly dull kind of threw us off as to what to expect from him.
@ChristinaTasty Kratos is noted to have studied poetry to some extent aswell, so in combination with an entirely different cultural standing it could make his speech patterns seem irregular comparatively.
@SWT_Channel Soul Calibur but with only Star Wars characters sounds fucking sick, instant buy from me.
Every iconic Jedi, Sith and even bounty hunter and then with a “create your own” like other soul Calibur games.
I wonder how they’d handle the different fighting styles?
