@PampagodVibes this is common behavior for him—performative bravery with no follow through. bato and the dutertes are the kind of people who believe society rewards aggressive, loud behavior over quiet competence. bravado ≠ ability.
When life gives you the chance to be educated regarding socio-political issues, grasp it. Open your mind. Hindi pwedeng sumagot na, "botohin mo lang yung gusto mo, botohin ko rin yung gusto ko." Kasi in the end damay kaming lahat— ang buong bansa, sa maling desisyon niyo. 😭😭😭
@onlybut_a_dream@cleomirano and even then, tattooing was still a widespread tradition involving the three groups so it’s understandable to use a general term.
it is semantics because you’re not digesting what i’m saying. you’re only rebutting but you’re not taking into account what i’ve said.
@onlybut_a_dream@cleomirano yes not all filipinos are visayans but all visayans are filipinos. all three major islands are a unified group now that’s why they fall under pre-colonial filipino culture.
@onlybut_a_dream@cleomirano OP used a general term bc it’s a broad category; meaning it was seen in many parts of the philippines. the mention of tattoos is bc they were specifically talking about tattoos. however that doesn’t mean pre-colonial cultures in other ethnic groups didn’t exist.
@onlybut_a_dream@cleomirano now don’t be daft. “pre-colonial filipino culture” is a general term not exclusive to certain regions & can be used to describe ANY filipino culture including visayan. OP probably used that term bc there were also tribes/groups in luzon & mindanao that had a culture of tattooing.
@onlybut_a_dream@cleomirano visayan filipino pre-colonial culture is still pre-colonial filipino culture. idk what you’re getting at drawing separation between visayans and filipinos 😅
@Srhuman107 incestuous relationships have a tendency to be nonconsensual even if they believe they’re consenting because of power dynamics. it’s rarely about equal consensual activity but rather a form of abuse where a trusted family/perpetator uses emotional manipulation to coerce victims.
