Hello, I am Rida. 26 years old.
Experienced the worst childhood.
Seen 5 Greatest failures in 2 years.
Rejected by the same person, over and over again.
Constantly questioning my worth!
Why I am sharing this?
Just wanted to say that all of this is OKAY!
And I am doing my best!
Yesterday, I stood in a labor room watching a woman fight for her life.
She arrived too late — a ruptured uterus.
No antenatal visits.
No hospital check-in.
Handled by traditional health worker.
Her attendants kept repeating one sentence:
“Doctor, it’s God’s will.”
They said it when she fainted.
They said it when her bleeding worsened.
They said it even when she slipped away.
But this wasn’t God’s will.
This was preventable!!
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
