@not_sacke Congrats on shipping Backdrop. Window managers are a crowded corner of the Mac App Store, so what's the one thing yours does that the others don't? I'm an indie iOS dev w/ 100+ apps shipped, so let's connect. 🍎
The beginning of the end..🥲🥲 your app business

Shipping apps is so much easier than you think.
I've shipped 100+ since the first iPhone. Some flopped, some paid, and a few were just plain embarrassing.
Most people don't ship anything. They plan, tweak the logo and wait for the perfect idea.
Tbh, they never hit submit, so they get few launches to learn from.
Do this for a few years and the gap gets huge. Your whole way of thinking changes.
Then you start meeting other devs who actually ship, who share their mistakes, who experiment w/ subscriptions.
If that's you, let's connect.
Finding the right ASO strategy is still one of the most overlooked parts of growing an app after launch.
Here are a few areas I keep coming back to that have moved the needle on downloads. (These are the ones that worked for me, your mileage may vary)
Hi @X, please help us! 🚀
Looking to #connect with more:

I want more interesting people building interesting things in my timeline!
If that’s you, say hi 👋
Let’s make some new connections today! 🤝
@DavidRunsAds Ngl the 10 versions to test part is the biggest edge. I've shipped 100+ apps and testing ad variants for App Store promos used to take me weeks, tbh. Now it's an afternoon. 📱
